I use to be a big Mario Bros. fan (until the sega genesis came out that is)
And Princess Toadstool was the coolest character- cause she was a princess, and the only girl in the game... and she wore pink. Evidently that's what mattered to me when I was five.
^^; I even had my own Peach "cosplay" for halloween.
But when you think about it (and I'm sure everyone has, thanks to HotTopic) Mario Bros. is really a very messed up story- as most things from the 80s are. And one day I got to thinking about it... and this image manifested on the page.

Oh... my... god... ;.; This is beautiful. I was never even that into Super Mario Brothers as a child [aside from the gameboy one, I was quite obsessed with that] but my god. I totally love it. I adored the sketch, and I love the color even more [if that's possible]. The yellow sun and blue sky, and just everything. And what program [and if Photoshop, what brushes? X.x] did you use to color this? It's really amazing. <3 You're my definitely my hero Meg. + fav

i used photoshop :3 ... i was actually trying out the way u color ^^; with like 2 layers and starting with the background. just using the air brush and regular round brushes.
ur art is my inspiration leesers! :glomp:

:D just a regular air brush brush... on like 4% pressure.
:cries: the colors were a lot more vibrant and pretty in photoshop.
